The background is made from pieces of commercially produced fabric and then quilted. Batik-wrapped cording was used to create the "vine: on top of plastic ribbon, cheesecloth, rug yarn, and French knots, allowing the "moss" to peak through the vine. Paper embossed leaves add the final touch.
